16 Year Old Girl With 36K Breasts
April 17th, 2007
Telegraph.co.uk posted this article titled Taunted girl’s breasts reduced on the NHS.
Many believe that Britian now has the biggest breasts in Europe. The average chest size of a British teenager has grown dramatically over the past 10 years and is now a whopping 36D. For some young women this is a cause for celebration, for others it can lead to a life of misery as they face bullying and physical pain. Thousands of teenagers - some as young as 13 - are now going under the knife in order to reduce their bust size and “fit” in.
A teenager named Stephenie Mann has had breast reduction surgery after claiming that other girls taunted her about her 36K chest. The 16 year old girl claimed the bullying was so intolerable that her parents agreed to her having an operation that reduced her breasts by 11 cup sizes to a more comfortable 36D.
“As soon as my breasts appeared they started to ruin my life,” she said. “I would hide them in baggy clothes and was constantly aware of people staring at me. By the time I reached secondary school I was a 36D. I felt so abnormal. Girls would call me horrible names and say I was a slapper. They accused me of having breast enlargements and being on steroids. I’d had enough. I would cry myself to sleep at night. I was hoping that somebody would be my friend and take me for who I was, not what I looked like.”

Accused of being on steroids? Cruel. Very cruel.
What did the girl mean when she said she was being called a slapper?
This site will explain english slang.
slapper n. People who are on the pull for anything they can get. Anything. The word is applied more often to females (arguably because it is a built-in function of blokes and doesn’t deserve a separate word). Slappers wander around the dance floor looking for the drunkest blokes and then, when they’ve found them, woo them by dancing backwards into them “accidentally”. The are invariably spotted at the end of an evening telling the bouncer how lonely they are and trying to sit on his knee.
Not a very nice term to be called.
Google brought up lots of site like it. The Brits have a version of the english language all their own. :)
I was treated a bit like a feak during my school time, so I guess I have at least a vague idea of what this girl has been through. Perhaps beeing a guy made it lighter to bear. In any case, how can her schoolmates be so cruel? And what about that schoolmates´parents? Isn´t it possible in Britain to speak to the authorities of the school to find a solution?
I know, I know, the problem doesn´t lie there. Probably many parents should take more seriously that part of the education, when they must make their daughters and sons understand that looking in one or another way does not change what we are. Not only to educate them, but also to “counteract” the principles transmited by emm… well, by TV, radio, magazines, etc. The society.
Indeed, it is sad to know about cases like the one of this girl.
PS: it´s my first post here and I hope my english is good enough to make my ideas clear. If not, don´t worry to ask me what a meant! :)
Thirteen and has to get a reduction - that is tough for anyone let alone a girl only thirteen years old. No fun!
Our next door neighbor has a mexican daughter named Papan. She is 12 years old. Cutest little girl you’d ever see. Smart as a can be and always running around with a pen and paper drawing pictures of birds. Her parents told us that she is getting teased at school because she is developing early. Even though she wears a thick bra, her chest is visible for her age. Her parents are contemplating homeschooling Papan but I am urging against it. Too many children in our community are dropping out of school all together and having trouble getting into colleges.
My boyfriend and I thought about going to Papan’s school and demanding a conference with the teachers and principal. Your website is inspiring us to take action and help Papan and her mother. Bullies and the adults who look the other way should not be tolerated.
I will email you an update Sara to let you know it goes.
Sad that she got a reduction. The harassment was b/c other girls were jealous not b/c she was a freak. They accused her of implants and steroids b/c they couldnt obtain the same themselves. Her family shouldve taught her to be proud of who she is as my family is supportive. (pun intended ;)
The girl said: I was hoping that somebody would be my friend and take me for who I was, not what I looked like.
Something we need to teach out children about. Even if your child is not large chested, they need to learn about breasts and how to behave around other girls who grow them.
It is very unfortunate that about 90% of people look on the outside of people, instead of the inside. I’ve been pushing myself into learning that the inside matters the most, and it was definitely a success for me. But anyways, even though the girl Stephanie changed her body appearance, I’m glad to see that she had a happy ending in this article.
I have to admit, a few of the stories and comments I’ve read on your site are pretty depressing.
Jennifer from Georgia has the right mind set. Lets all take action when ever we see such discrimination. Start at the top with the adults and get them to act responsibly. The effect will trickle down. Children mimic adults.
Lets set the example!
The article says that by the time she reached secondary school she was a 36D. I knew lots of girls in secondary school with D’s. Now 36K? That is growing very large boobs! Baggy clothing can not hide boobs like that.
I hope she is doing well now.
She says she started wearing baggy clothing but from my own experience, baggy clothing can cause just as much trouble as tight fitting clothing. First of all, it makes you look fat and wide. Being wide draws people’s attention. Second it makes it seem like you have something to hide so people look at you longer to see what your hiding. I always dress in clothing that just fits comfortably. Not large, not tight, but something that fits just right!
hahahaha! i have the came problem….but i am 15. I got used to being called a whore after awhile and i now i understand girls call me it because they are only B’s and jealous and the guys just wish i was a whore. After a few years of hiding an expanding bust i got tired of it and just don’t give a f*ck. If she would have waited longer and got friends who are supportive and complimentive she probably would have kept them. i am going to get a breast reduction when i am 17 because that is when the doctors said the growing would stop but they also i would more than likely be like a P cup at that point….. i sympathize with her but if she is reading this….. there are people with the same problem and it is sh!t…. and the inwanted attention from guys is unavoidable even under baggy clothes…. i found it is better to just be like “hey! i have big tits but i can’t avoid it, so stop looking and get to know me.” and if anyone else has this problem know you are not alone!!!!
I’ve seen a few shows over the years about women with big breasts, and I’ve noticed something that’s always seemed odd to me. The women in the shows, while big-breasted, are nowhere near as large-breasted as the show makes them out to be. The cute blonde in this show - they said she’s a 36K or something. If she’s a 36K, then about 1 out of 10 women you see everyday is at least a 36K! I see several women every day who make this girl look small.
I’m not saying she isn’t top-heavy. I’m not saying she doesn’t have problems with her large breasts. I’m just observing that the women they choose for these shows are not 1-in-a-million women, or even 1-in-a-thousand, even though the shows talk about them like they had Guiness Book breasts.
We agree Chris. But I think there is two reasons for this.
#1. It is difficult to get really large breasted women to share stories - they are usually the ones that have the most fears about their bodies and don’t always want to share. Sad but true.
#2. If the shows that deal with large breasts show women similar to what their audience might be - the story situations seem more accessible and personal. The viewer can connect with the person talking about their breasts and identify with them more.
That being said - you are right, everyone sees beautiful girls who carry much larger breasts around with them every day. They just don’t get on these shows to tell their stories. But thats what Hiddenfeet is working on! :)
