Australian Breasts Growing Larger
July 2nd, 2007
According to this news article, the average bra size in Australia has increased from 12B only six years ago to 14C. Tasmania is now recording an average bra size of 16C.
“Bra expert Carol Rashleigh notes that the increasing size should not be a cause of shame among Tasmanian women. There is ample evidence of breasts swelling in isolation and bust sizes are getting bigger, even on quite small frames.”
“Ms Rashleigh said she often saw larger bra sizes among women who performed a lot of exercise. Over fourty percent of the population is wearing a size D cup or above, and the expansion is growing. We are seeing an emerging demand for cup sizes above a G, and women above a D cup are the norm rather than the exception.”
Lots of different viewpoints. Some people think girls are getting fatter. Others think it is a change in our genetics and some think there is something in the food we eat.
Combination of all 3?
Funny how they titled the article:
“Tassie women busting out to lead the nation.”
I do agree however that there are lots of factors that are increasing bust size around the world. I will also bring up the simple fact that perhaps people are just noticing bust size more because of the clothing us girls wear? I see many girls wearing tops that enhance their bust at an early age.
My mum bought my first brassiere for me when I was eleven. I thought that was early but now all the daughters of my friends are doing the same.
This website says that Dutch women are getting bigger breasts and 32 percent of them now have a D-cup or bigger compared with 20 percent five years ago.
In Europe, Dutch women are ranked third behind British and Danish women in terms of bra size, research commissioned by Bodyfashion Promotion indicated on Wednesday. Some 42 percent of women aged 30-39 have D-cup breasts and feel in general okay about that. Women with a large bra size are now the largest group in the Netherlands.
But the shape and size of breasts start to change once women reach the age of 40 and women then opt for a smaller bra size. Some 44 percent of surveyed girls aged 12-19 think that eating fatty foods helps increase the size of their breasts.
All survey respondents said poor nutrition habits are the cause of increased breast size. Hormones in food and the general increasing size of the population are also leading to bigger breasts.
I keep reading how girls are reaching puberty earlier - sometimes as young as eight. This means they will have much more exposure to high levels of estrogen in their lifetimes. Estrogen can control breast size.
