Like Kristi I can't stand tops that cut UNDER the boobs and across my middle section. They are designed to make B-cup girls look like C and C's look like D's. But if your DD like me...you might as well wear a bullseye on your chest.

I read comments here from girls and I think Sara has said it herself, we just need to forget about how big we look and just deal with the attention it brings. Most reasonable girls will understand that we don't wear clothing to always show off...and those that don't...let them think what they want. Not worth my time.

Happy holidays Sara!

It seems like this person had a history of mental disorders before this incident. In situations like this we always recommend that Hiddenfeet girls avoid confrontation with these individuals and just walk/run away. Nothing good will ever come from any verbal or physical argument.

It's interesting and gratifying to see so many people sharing their opinions and experiences on this subject. Although I respect all of the opinions that have been expressed, I do think that anyone who has not lived with having excessively large breasts on an otherwise normal body size cannot understand, and should not criticize anyone who chooses reduction surgery.

My breasts started developing my Sophmore year of highschool and by my Junior year I was already a D cup. I weighed 115 all through highschool and was 5'7. I always felt overly chesty, awkward and self-conscious about my chest size. Today I weigh more (150)and my breasts are now a DDDD or F cup.

I hate, hate, hate shopping, especially swimsuit shopping. I cannot find a button-down shirt that is large enough to actually button without straining in the chest area, unless it is so big that I look like I'm wearing a tent. All of the fashions right now are the baby doll style or empire waist which are just a big joke as the line that is supposed to go UNDER the breast cuts right across the middle of mine. I have left the store in tears many times after a frustrating attempt to find anything that would fit and look nice. I have to order super-expensive bras through mail order as the stores don't carry my size, and I have to custom order my swimwear as it's not even remotely possible to find my size in a store.

I have been considering surgery for the longest time, but am scared to death to "go under the knife". I hope I can eventually make my mind up to do it, and wish like crazy that I had just had the surgery years ago. For me, this issue isn't a bit about conforming to other people's idea of 'normal', but rather the wish to NOT look and feel like a freak.

That’s messed up! Wonder what was his problem. There’s no excuse for his behavior.

And I hope you all know that he's an extreme case of discrimination. I believe that most guys aren't like that at all. I'm glad he got what he deserved. And I'm glad she's okay. I'd want to begin psychoanalyzing him, but I just don't know where to begin finding out why someone would ever want to do that. In his mind, was there an association between big breasts and sex? Did his father commit adultery with a big breasted woman? Who knows?

I go to an all girls school and had girls tease me but it has stopped. One girl who teased me two years ago is growing her boobs and is now almost as big as me. Im not friends with her but at least she can understand what I go through. I think she stays away from me and is close with her own circle of friends because she would get teased more by other girls if the two of us spent time together. We would both be targets of the other mean girls.

I feel the same way, I went through the same thing. I still am going through it a bit actually. The fake comment used to hurt, but I don't mind as much anymore. I always think though, if they weren't real why would I choose to look ridiculously out of proportion?

It is much harder I think growing up with larger than average breasts. I have had a DD cup since I was 14 and am 17 now. Larger breasts restict sports I can play, and the clothes I can wear. I think my breasts make me look much larger than I am. I envy flat chested girls!

J - some of those anime characters DO moonlight on other programs which are more sexually explicit - which is why many people have a problem with the way they appear on some of the tamer programs.

If you've ever watched Days of Our Lives - it's the same thing that Patch went through when he did the Oija board movie with that woman from the Whitesnake videos. Once you are typecast - it's difficult to overcome.

I would like to say that I agree with a lot of what Lorraine wrote as well - and Stepanie - as a fellow journalist - I can relate to your friends problem being taken seriously in the work place. As a man, I have found my unusual good looks, striking sense of personal style, charm and positive attitude an anathema to being taken seriously in the workplace.

Just tell her to keep fighting the good fight - and we're pulling for her!

I love the site Sara - keep up the great work!

I also wanted to say that even though I wouldn't try to ignore the fact that she has big breasts, I wouldn't let noticing them dominate the interaction. It's called self-control, people. You'd notice that this one woman has big breasts, but you wouldn't let yourself stare or drool over them or form stereotypical biases in your head about her personality. You'd just respect her as a regular adult and treat her as such.

I'm also a man and I agree with you, Andre. If you're preoccupied with how people will notice your breasts and mistreat you because of it, you'll be more biased toward noticing instances when that happens and you'll be less focused on the times when it doesn't happen. If you think it's a problem, then you'll notice lots of things that will reinforce your mindset that it is a problem. If you don't think it's a problem, then people may still do these things to you, but it won't affect you or you may not even be aware of it.

However, I don't agree that if I were to see her on the street or at a music recital, her breasts would be the last thing I would notice. That kind of wording seems to fit in with the mindset that breasts are still problems that get in the way of you being recognized as a musician and that you must live in spite of them or ignore them. I prefer to think of it this way. Her breasts are part of her body. They're part of who she is, and there's nothing wrong with them. There's nothing wrong with a woman being both talented and beautiful (yes, big breasts are beautiful). Think of the whole package. Often, people are either talented (smart, etc.) or beautiful, but not both. That makes women like her so much more special.

well, this is an intresting topic, especially because its not talked about in such a way. I saw the program and I'm a guy! I found jodie very attractive when she was playing the piano (couldnt see her breasts) I think she was very well spoken, and had a charisma to her. If i had met her on the street or met her at a music recital I think her breasts would be the last thing i would notice. Women you have to know: you project to the other person how you feel! whether you have small or large breasts, project your personality and eyes, and the person you're interacting with will respond to that. just my two cents

My friend was trying to work for a Detroit news channel and she thinks that her boobs are preventing her from being taken seriously even though she has a masters degree in broadcast journalism AND business economics from Ohio State. She hasn't had a reduction but has discussed the possibility with her family in the past. She is such a small girl that her DD chest becomes hard to hide on her little body. I think her boobs would look normal on almost anyone else....but on her they pop out of almost everything she wears.

I will get her to write a story for hiddenfeet next time I talk to her.

Well said, Lorraine! Katie, I agree with you. There are some anime shows that have some women with large breasts, but people complain about that. And these characters don't flaunt it all that much (that I know of) except for wearing plunging necklines that reveal their cleavages. And maybe some exaggerated swinging motion sometimes. I believe society associates large breasts with sex and that if you want a "serious" media production, you'd cast small-breasted girls. However, if I were to produce a TV show, movie or computer game or some other media production, I would cast large-breasted women in important roles so that the audience can admire them for their personality and integrity and perhaps look at large breasted women in a different light. Large-breasted women also deserve to be role models.

However, if I were to produce a TV show, movie or computer game or some other media production, I would cast large-breasted women in important roles so that the audience can admire them for their personality and integrity and perhaps look at large breasted women in a different light. Large-breasted women also deserve to be role models.

I found this great lingerie site a few months ago and since then have bought many items from them. They are just for women that are either curvy, or have large, or larger "hiddenfeet."
I just thought that you would like to either check them out, or maybe you have already heard of it, or post the site. The site is: http://www.hipsandcurves.com/

WOW! Keep it up! I hope your website redesign goes well. I had a company make a website for my dad and it turned out horrible. We could never get our money back so we just use myspace and flicker right now.

Thank you ladies. It's refreshing to run into a website like this. It's just awful, you know, how this society finds problem with every aspect of breasts... they are ALWAYS either too small or too big. And just because big breasts are everywhere doesn't mean you girls have it easy - quite the opposite sometimes I'd guess, with stereotypes and people not knowing what they talk about.

I think it's great that there's a site for big breasted women. Looks aside, breasts are a very important part of female anatomy, and they need proper care to be healthy. Especially concerning back problems, getting the right bra support, and obviously cancer.

Congrats girls, and keep it up! ;)

I think the nurse picture cartoon is the only one that might cause trouble with most women. I like the x-ray one the best. On the whole I don't think these cartoons are worth getting worked up over. I see male cartoons with men having muscles that are way over the top and neither side complains. Come to think of it, how many short comic book super heros are there? Should men of shorter height start complaining? I wish boobs were everywhere in the media and entertainment so that they would be so common place that I would blend in more.

I love you Sara!
