Kate Beckinsale & Keira Knightley Want Big Breasts?
November 12th, 2007
Movie scarlets Kate Beckinsale and Keira Knightley tell People Magazine about their desires to have a more voluptuous figure.
Beckinsale, 33, says, “I’m so fascinated by breasts because my mother didn’t have them either. If I had them, I’d run up and down a flight of stairs!” Beckinsale claims she would like to be “someone with gigantic real breasts…”
Knightley, 22, says, “I would love to have tits! I would love to have Monica Bellucci’s figure, I’m never going to get it. I’m naturally who I am. I think that it would be great in the media if we saw a wider range of women of all ages, of all shapes and sizes.”
Thankfully, like many Hiddenfeet readers, she firmly dismisses the idea of ever getting cosmetic surgery to enhance her figure. People Magazine claim that this isn’t the first time Knightley has publicly discussed her breasts - last time she was complaining that they were too big.
It looks like Keira Knightly has been battling the media over her chest size for quite some time. She says the publishers of her movies wanted “…at least a C cup because it turns people off” to show a smaller size. “‘Apparently they have done market research and found that women want to see no less than a C cup on other women.”
Uh? When did us women care? Sounds like a cover story to enhance “male” interest in her movies.
As long as these actresses understand that large breasts from surgery is NOT the answer, then I am all for it. We don’t need the wrong message being sent to the children of the world.
I don’t think I’d like to run up and down a flight of stairs with these… Maybe it’s just me. :)
Who did the market survey ask? Hollywood types? I promise, I couldn’t care less about the size of an actress’s breasts.
Many of these so called market surveys are made up statistics. I am sure the movie producers told Keira Knightley that her small breasts would be a turn off but never backed up their statements with any facts.
June Machover Reinisch, Ph.D. talks about this myth.
“Number one was face. And if you have been following these myths, you will find that that’s also very true for women in regard to men – that is, people’s faces are very important. And that shouldn’t be surprising because communication is very important to humans and when we are communicating we are looking at each other’s faces. So anyway, number one is face. Number two is legs. Men find legs very attractive, and they are number two. So, face had 32 percent of men saying it was most important physical attribute, and 24 percent of men said that legs were the most important physical attribute. Third was breasts, at 18 percent. Fourth was hair, at 5 percent. And last but not least was backside, or bottom, at 4 percent. Backsides are very high on women’s lists of physical attributes that are sexually attractive, so that’s an interesting difference between men and women.”

The message we need to teach young women is that BOTH large and small breasts are beautiful - we can perform activities with grace and beauty no matter how we develop.
Lots of Kate Beckinsale promo posters plump up her boobs. I worked at a movie theater when Pearl Harbor came out and she was round and top heavy in all the promotional material wereceived. Just part of showbiz. All thin actresses are photoshopped like that to make them appear less boyish. I find it silly but movies are all make believe anyway so I don’t see how a poster orflier is any different.
Jennifer I remember how Kate Beckinsale looked in Pearl Harbor. She was boob-enhanced just like Keira Knightley was for her role in King Arthur. But as busy as their lives are, being in the spotlight and everything, I am sure that much of the talk about them wanting larger boobs is just media mumbo-jumbo. An actor or actress says the smallest thing and is will likely be quoted wrong or blown out of proportion.
Jessica Alba has recently confessed her breasts were made bigger on the poster for the movie ‘Into The Blue’. The actress, who spent a lot of the film in a skimpy bikini, has admitted computer wizards digitally enhanced her boobs in the picture. She revealed: “They enhanced my chest a little bit. They always do it. And in the poster for ‘Fantastic Four’ - they did it big time!”
This new movie of Natalie Portman has her stuffing her bra for the role. Being a girl I don’t tend to care much how large an actress is but I agree with the author that breast implants are gross. Has anyone seen this movie yet? I can’t find any show times for it at my theater. Thanks.
well sometimes they do like it when they digitally enhance their boobs:
Kate Hudson is thinking of having a boob job.
The actress was so impressed when her breasts were digitally enhanced in the promotional poster for new movie Fool’s Gold, she wants to make them a reality.
She said, “They are so not my boobs. They look too perfect. Seriously, if I ever wanted to have them done, I’d take this poster to the doctor and say, ‘This is what I want them to look like’.”
Remember that celebs are prompted by their agents to say strange things to reports to generate publicity and hype for themselves.
